Municipal Master Plan.
The Municipal Master Plan provides a
comprehensive system of primary production, creating zones of high
productivity, showing the road of food self-sufficiency to local communities. The main aim is
the sustainable and comprehensive development of municipality in order to
increase its competitiveness and attractiveness, and to restore its social and
economic functions. The areas unification within
municipality’s limits which present different dynamics and development
potential requires knowledge of basic indicators that are necessary elements
for a balanced design. These indicators describe the type and size of
production, the number of inhabitants of each place, and in particular those
who are dealing with primary production sector, as well as the distance and the
ability to connect with major distribution channels of the products. In fact, High Production Zones
create a channel of communication between different regions
enabling most deprived areas to develop. Municipality’s dynamic areas will
acquire their own strong and unique identity, based on the comparative
advantages of their geographical location and their local human and material
resources. They will become the basis of a rational development model which
incorporates deep changes in production and consumption systems.
Orientation to "currency-commodity" farm
products.
They are agricultural products or series of products which have a market value as derived agricultural products with the forms of “futures contract” and “forward contract”. They can be negotiated OTC (over-the-counter) or via the stock market. Such contracts are financial instruments created and used as a way of protecting companies and investors from sharp price fluctuations in the markets of agricultural products, foreign exchange, interest rates, metals, raw materials, etc.
The currency-commodity farm products advantages in three features as hereunder:
* Conversion of production in currency.
Daily liquidity in domestic and international sale centers.
* Potential influence of supply-demand curve.
In the event of competitive areas production collapse due to ecological disasters or other causes, High Production Zones convert to geo-economic "players" in domestic market by shaping the supply-demand curve with positive profitability.
* Support of municipality’s financial autonomy.
They can be converted into a key instrument of municipality’s financial policy without being influenced by the central authority (government).

* Determination of rural land use as part of municipality’s wider area land planning with a view to the rational use of available land.
* Incorporation of locally constructed mechanical equipment in agricultural production with a view of supporting the local construction industry.
* Production costs compression with vertical integration units.
Structure of High Production Zones.
We publish the Greek model of High Production Zones with sample plant and animal species which are suitable for the climatic conditions of Greece. The present model can be the basis for future planning. The particular plant and animal species any future zone will contain, depend solely on zone’s wider region climatic conditions.
